BARKING & DAGENHAM REFEREE SOCIETY

The Barking and Dagenham Referees Society, is an affiliated society to both the Referees' Association of England and The Essex Referees' Association. 

 

Our society holds strong ties to other local referees societies/clubs, such as Basildon Referee's Association, Southend  Referee's association and Colchester Referee Association. 

 

Holding various training nights such asThe Football Forum evening (Question Time style), hosted by Stephen Finnis. Life Vice President and 'The Art of Lining' was the theme hosted by Ex Football League Assistant Referee and former member Elliott Kaye.

 

Formed in 1975, Our Society provides a forum for discussion and support to local referees from those just starting their career to those who have gone on to officiate at the highest level in English football. 

 

Amongst our current members we can boast of having the recently retired Andy D'urso, (Premier League & Football League referee) who is now in a role with the FA coaching Football League referees.  We also have Lloyd Wood currently a Level 2B referee and ex Football League Assistant Referee and a varied mixture of all other levels from levels 9 to 3.
